Methodist Hospital Chess Club

The Methodist Hospital Chess Club meets every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Until further notice we will meet in Conference Room B at the Methodist Healthcare Systems, 8109 Fredericksburg Rd. (at Datapoint Dr.) (map).The one game a week game/90 tournament is USCF rated/membership required. Rounds start at 7 p.m. sharp! Cost is $7 per player, 80% returned as prizes, 50% top and lower half, 60/40% 1st/2nd split in each half. A new tournament starts the first Wed. of each month; please register before 7 p.m.!

Note: Pairings are tentative. If you are assigned a full point bye, please check on Wednesday by 4:30 p.m. to confirm at tel. 695-2324. One half point bye is allowed per month if advance notice is given before round two begins (otherwise, it's a zero-point bye unless assigned by the TD). Late entries are accepted with a half point bye in round one. Any players who forfeit and do not notify the TD in advance will be withdrawn and have to pay a double entry fee the next time they play. If you know you cannot play a round, it is your responsibility to notify the TD (695-2324) by 4 p.m. Wednesday.
