Pygmy goats are wonderful! They stay cute,  eat weeds, forbs, and grass. The Pygmy goat is used for milk, meat, and as pets. It is the most versatile of the goat breeds. They can also be used for brush clearing.

The Pygmy goat is hardy, alert and animated, good-natured and gregarious; a docile, responsive animal, a cooperative provider of milk, and an ecologically effective browser.

The Pygmy goat is an asset in a wide variety of settings, and can adapt to virtually all climates.

My husband and I raise unregistered and registered Pygmy goats and specialize in variety in both size and color.  I also have registered and unregistered Nigerian Dwarf goats.  WE ARE LOCATED IN SEGUIN, TEXAS!   The male can either be left as a 'Billy' or be 'fixed' and made a wether which is what we recommend if you are interested in a pet. Goats are social animals and become lonesome by themselves. They need to 'buddy' up with other pygmy goats or some other animal. Please do not buy one if he will be alone.

Below the pygmy goats, you will find pictures of my working dogs.     We are located in Seguin, TX.   Seguin is 40 miles due east of San Antonio, TX and 160 miles due west of Houston, TX on IH10. The Hill Country starts just north of us.

"Bella" and "Bandit" are the proud parents of pups born 3/22/08.  She had 10 pups.  Below are pictures of these pups.  I have 2females left from this liter.  $200 each.

"Rossie" and "Bandit" are the parents of 9 puppies born 5/7/08.  Pictures of these pups are below as well.  These pups will be ready to go to their new homes 6/18/08.  They will have their first shot and worming at pick up.  These pups are $200 each.  If you are interested in a puppy please let me know.

Babies Still on their Moms

If the kids are less than 10 days old they can be made "Bottle" babies.  ("Bottle" babies are kids that you bottle feed during the day until they are 2 months old.  Great for small children!)

The babies below are all too old to be 'bottle' babies now.  They will need to stay on their moms until they are weaned, and then they can be picked up as "Weaned" Kids.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

I am frequently contacted about shipping of goats.  I do not make arrangements to ship goats.  You may contact Continental Airlines (1-800-575-3335) and obtain information  about shipping pygmy goats .  Continental Airlines tells me that you should be able to ship up to 2 weaned (8 week old) goats for about $200.00 plus the cost of the kennel and fuel charge ($75) for me to take the goats to the airport an hour away.  Their cost is a flat fee calculated on poundage plus fuel surcharge plus sales tax, so the total charge would be about the same for one or two goats.  I have been told that they would probably limit you to two animals in one large kennel.  Another web site that might be of interest is https://www.aacargo.com/shipping/animals.jhtml.  That is American Airline's website.

Another option is to privately contact Ron Keener to transport your shipment.  His web site is http://travelwithronk.com/.  He has a yahoo travel group.  All required veterinary certificates would be an additional expense.

King Ranch Collectibles - "Running W"

I grew up in Kingsville, Texas the home of the world famous King Ranch.  My father had a photography studio there.  Over the years, my father collected King Ranch memorabilia.  Among the items that I have is a new handmade King Ranch saddle blanket. A brand new unused saddle blanket is very rare.  This blanket was woven by Emiliano Garcia on his hand-built loom from the wool of dark brown and white sheep raised on the King Ranch.  The sheep were hand sheared and the wool spun on the Ranch.  Emiliano made  all the King Ranch saddle blankets from 1920 until his death in 1975.  This blanket is one of the last ones  made by him. There are no more King Ranch blankets.  The saddle blanket is $6,500.00

You will note that I also own a Running W branding iron and a new lariat.  This lariat was hand made for "Mr. Bob".  "Mr. Bob" would have his lariats  made to his specification and likeness.  This lariat has never been used.  It had been mounted for display and never uncoiled.

I  own a  two book set of The King Ranch by Tom Lea published 1957 .  This set of books recount the history of the King Ranch, the Kings, the Klebergs, and what made the King Ranch such a great part of U.S. and Texas history.

These King Ranch items would be a rare addition to anyone's collection of Western memorabilia.  A serious collector would be welcome to view the items.  You can email me at Lcurrier1@satx.rr.com.
