Highlights of his 34-year career in fencing include:
Illinois High School State Championship team Two-time Foil finalist at the US Junior Olympics Four-time NCAA National Championship qualifier at US Air Force Academy Laramie County Community College Coach – Cheyenne, Wyoming Head Coach at the US Air Force Academy with two All-Americans and six Regional Champions NCAA Men’s Fencing Committee chairman Private Club Owner Fencing Master certificate from the German Academy of Arms Two-time Bronze Medalist at the German National Masters Championship Head Fencing Coach at World Military Games in Rome (1995) Five youth and cadet fencers in the top five of the national standings, and a two-time national youth champion at Palo Alto College Fencing Center Coached Junior Olympic Bronze Medalist and Cadet World Team member 13th at Under-17 World Champs in Bulgaria, 2004. Hosted eleven regional coaches’ clinics certified 40 Instructors, eight Prevost, and two Fencing Masters. Past President – US Fencing Coaches Association Service Award from US Fencing Association for development of Regional Youth Circuit program. Coached finalist at 2004 Cadet World Cup in St. Petersburg, Russia Coached Bronze medal Senior Men’s Foil Teams in 2004 and 2006 at US National Championships Coached US Men’s Foil team in Koblenz, Germany at Cadet international cups in January 2005, 2006 and 2007. Coached finalist in Junior Men’s Foil at 2006 US Jr. Olympics Coached finalists in Junior Foil and Epee at 2006 National Championships. Coached finalist in Cadet Men’s Foil at 2007 Jr. Olympics. Coached three All American fencers to NCAA Division I fencing scholarships at Notre Dame and Temple in 2005, 2006, 2007 Current member of US Fencing Coaches Association Executive Committee |
