The Shuttle Thunderwolf was officially launched on November 10, 2004. Jeff Schnoor and Norma Ybarra were the founding members of Shuttle Thunderwolf. USS Bethel is the mothership that has supported and guided the shuttle.

On July 1, 2005 the Shuttle Thunderwolf officially became a ship and is now the USS Thunderwolf. Both founding members were in attendance for the official event that took place at IC '05.

On March 1, 2008 we were re-named the ISS Thunderwolf NCC-1653.
