George W.Boase was the grandson of Simon Boase

Introduction

Simon Boase was a tin merchant from Cornwall who visited Australia in 1861. He died in a shipwreck while returning to Cornwall. His son Thomas moved to Hirwain, Glamorganshire, South Wales, UK, in 1865.
A known address for Thomas, as written on a page in a children's book printed in 1867 and named "Jack and his Eleven Sisters" is: 123 Painters Row, Glamorganshire, South Wales.
After South Wales, he moved to Pennsylvania in 1870, back to South Wales, to Indiana, on to Pennsylvania and finally settled in Knightville, Indiana.
